Mend Fuel Line Replacement

fuel line replacement?

I have replaced the small and large fuel lines to a 358.791570 weed trimmer. It will only run when it is on its side. When you hold it up straight is dies. It sounds like it has run out of gas, but there is gas in the tank. How can this be corrected?
