Mend Turn Help Bike

My mini moto cuts out when I turn off the choke !?

Help please. Just put a brand new engine in my mini dirt bike. It runs beautiful with the choke on and even rides well with the choke on but when I turn the choke off it just cuts out. Any ideas please.

Yes it does ray. Everything is complete. The new engine came with new carb, gearbox, air filter etc all already put together. I tried altering the screw on the carb to the point that the bike wants to ride away without you and it still cut out when you turn off the choke. AAAArrrrrr
