renew brushes on miele w827?

Its a little bit tricky to be honest. If you remove (or hinge open on early models) the front panel you will see the back end of the motor. You have to remove the plugs, plastic cover, then remove screws around plastic brushplate and pull gently off. Replace brushes, holders and red rubber insulaters (comes as a kit) Now comes difficult bit:- you have to release the brushes so they spring out then hold them back up the holders whilst you refit the brushplate without breaking the brushes at same time you have to locate 4 electrical tags from the brushplate to the windings (these often miss their location so you have to start again) For me this is quickest way but if time is no object you may find it easier to remove motor and do on bench.
