Mend Miele W842 Washing Machine Carbon Brushes

Changing carbon brushes on Miele washing machine?

I want to change the carbon brushes on my Miele washing machine, (model is W842). I don't seem to be able to remove the plastic shroud covering the motor from the front of the machine to get free access to the unit containing the brushes. Is it possible, or do I have to take the entire motor out to do this? Thanks in advance.
