I'm trying to replace the diverter valve as per the very useful instructions below but the drain cock on my 828E boiler won't open. It seems to have a ratchet type over torque mechanism on it, i.e. it rotates with a click without opening the valve. I have tried pushing on it hard with no luck. Any alternatives or ideas?
