Re-learn the device?

Had to add a 500R to a M1000 as the house designers had flooked up as per and had a "Common" door on Wards. Not the best idea but we had two contacts running one door. One hard wired one radio. It worked but due to the construction and the location of the panel we had a few issues mentioned and the panel was 15 ft from the contact.. But foil backed PB and steels made it a nightmare. So a battery change was done every service (6 months) and a relearn was needed for that device, yet the shocks ( another overlook after a design review by the arciprat) were fine with a battery change.
Cooper said there was anissue and replaced the panel once, but we still swap out batts every 6 months and relearn.

i had to do the same thing kch,i found that thecase distorted when you screwed the back to the wall ,so i had to pad the tamper up as you did,

A relearn was definitely worth mentioning Alarm,
I had a similar issue,.

Both tampers were fully closed,that I was certain of, because they metered out ok,.
An alarm condition would occur each time after the pir`s sleep time out period ,so I knew it wasn't a communication error.

A relearn did the trick.

A glitch maybe ?.

Thank you I had to 'pad up' the back to secure the back pressure pad. It has worked - so far :-)

I seem to recall an issue wirh the 500r at one stage and b4 it was sorted a relearn helped.

you dont need to relearn the device,unless you have removed it from the system
