I'd seriously like to know who this SD idiot is, never seen so much rubbish written by one person.
I wish there was a way of finding out who he is, he's a danger to himself and any one who reads his totally uninformed rubbish.

Easy answer, if 5yrs or older the battery should be replaced, no question.

Test meter across battery terminals, should read higher than battery voltage, if you then turn power off, voltage should drop slightly, to battery voltage. if it does it is charging, If the alarm goes off, battery fault
