Mend Hotpoint HJA8630 Dishwasher Motor Problem

My HJA 8630 is just whirring but nothing happening?

Hi. My HJA 8630 is just humming. It humms as soon as door is closed, without pressing play. That i can live with if the machine actually did something other than sit and whir! It sounds like a motor whirring but no water is coming in or out. Please help!!

Sounds like anti flood system operating. Remove kickplate and see if there is water in bottom driptray of the machine. If so dry out and test for leaks.
