Water leaking in through door lock?

I have a 2008 ford mondeo and it is leakin water in though the bolts that hold the door lock in on the passenger side door

are you sure that the membrane between door and trim panel is intact and fully stuck to door at bottom and sides-if not will allow water to enter vehicle.i have never had to seal lock/ screws to cure water ingress. by the way how have you found this to be the problem.

you may have to remove the bolts and apply a bit of sealer onto the rear of the lock
