how to remove a hazard warning switch?

Why not paint the switch with red nail varnish the light should be strong enought to reflect through.

However, you see some dashboards that don't have full range of switches with switch blanking plates these are push fit so I assume like my Peugeot the switches are the same so prise out one edge work around the switch if a round one or top and then bottom if rectangular.
