motorhome pinking when driving van goes ok just bugs me ?

fiat ducato motor home 1989 petrol 1971cc engine starts 1st time with choke when warmed up the engine starta pinking even when ticking over going downhill had van on dialogic machine when setting carb 1 screw on carb would not adjust any further maybe what problem is .anybody got a carb.

sounds like timings slightly out used to get that on some of my old bangers back in sixties. Just a thought. Get garage to check timing. A long shot is grade of petrol u use
