heat elenemt doesn't work but only sometimes zdt 6053?

I have adish washer ZDT 6053. the heating element does not work during several washes, and just before i throw my hat at it it works again ... but only for a while. so is it Fauly heater,faulty thermostat,a problem with the circuit or what??? and if I get the repair man in whats to say it will work again for only a few cicyles??
