Scantronic 9800 User Code Not Working?

I have recently purchased a house with a Scantronic 9800. The user code I have been given does not appear to work. The keypad is in day mode. I enter the user code and press A but there is no response. How can I get it to work?

then its either the wrong code,or keypad buttons are worn ,ask the agent you baught house from for the correct code,he must give this to you,
if you cant get this info,then you will have to reset the panel back to factory settings,not a job for you,
