Mend Speed Queen HSB031L Dryer Button Release

SpeedQueen ultramate HSB031L washer dryer is locked shut how do I open?

The button to release the washer, so it will tip forward, doesn't do anything. I opened the control panel and checked for loose wires and fuses, but found nothing.
Is there a fuse somewhere?
