brake light switch?

does the brake light switch just sit back in its position or is there suppose to be a nut holding it in place as mine seems to keep moving out of position keeping brake lights on while driving

some use nuts,some are twist and lock but again you are someone who hasn`t bothered to even say what sort of motor you have so my advice would be to get your head under the dash at the pedals and sort it out for yourself
