smeg do4ss-5?

My Smeg DO4SS-5 lower main oven does not heat up at all. All other functions like the lower oven light & fan work fine. Other features like the upper oven/grill and timmer also work fine. What is the most likely fault, should I start by replacing the element around the fan?

meter the element around the fan,

you are looking for a resistance value exceeding 16 ohms,

or check its continuity,

an open circuit is a fail,

Remember to isolate the power to the appliance first,

and don't forget to set the clock on completion.
