My oven has always made very loud banging noises and now the fan works, but the oven will not heat up. The two other settings work, but the food burns on the top and is uncooked underneath.
almost certain to be the fan element ( as long as the temp indicator light comes on ) You don't list a model but generally remove the rear panel inside the oven, the element is the dull metal circle around the fan held on with 2 screws and one support. remove screws and gently pull element towards you taking care not to loose the wires back through the holes ! replace and rebuild. As always make sure the powers off before doing anything !
