ariston boiler no heating?

hi. i have a micro genius that gives hot water but no heating. i switch the boiler on at the mains and it goes straight into heating the hot water even with no hot water taps running. the heating just won't operate. It seems like the boiler thinks there is a hot tap on.

"It seems like the boiler thinks there is a hot tap on"

And that will be the answer, the sensor or switch that detects for HW demand will have stuck. depending on type of switch, clean or replace, temporary solution, you should be able to disconnect it, to get heating back, but you will not have HW
