how can i fix my washing machine, Hotpoint AQXXF149PM?

it doesn't fill with water and only does a short wash with the water that won't drain out of the drum. it's showing a dn0 on the spin display ....help!!!

google :hoover error codes and look what they say what what code mean. if it does not fill water could be blocked inlet hose filter or faulty inlet solenoid valve.remove inlet hose and check water supply then remove filter and check for blokkage.to check inlet solenoid ,open water supply and put direct power to solenoid,it should let water thru if operational
