New drive sprockets and chain on '97 Kaw KZ1000P?

While rolling the new chain over the front sprocket everything is turning fine. Attached the master link, set the chain tension and tightened the axle bolt. Now everything is locked up. Removed the rear caliper and tried again to turn the wheel, nothing. The problem feels like it mjght be coming from the front sprocket. Any ideas?
