I HAVE BURNED OVER 275 DVDS AND 50 CDS. RECENTLY WHEN I TRY TO BURN A DVD USING DVD SHRINK OR NERO MY BURNER MAKES A SQUEAL AND FREEZES. IT WILL READ FROM A SOURCE DISK BUT WONT BURN. ALSO I NOTED I CAN STILL RIP AND BUR CDS WHITH NO PROBLEM FOR THE EXCEPTION OF IT SQUEALING A LITTLE. DO I NEED A NEW BURNER? PLEASE HELP!
Its possible junk has built up on the lens making reading ok but burning impossible - use a lens cleaner before you write off (no pun intended) your drive
