Mend Kenmore Replace Vacuum Broken

How do I replace the electric cord on my Kenmore Canister Vacuum?

One of the prongs on the end of my power cord has broken off. Can I just replace the end of the cord that you plug into the outlet? Or, is it wiser to replace the entire cord and try to figure out how to get into the housing where the cord automatically wraps up?
