Mend Ford Focus Door Locking Driver

Door locking/central locking?

I have an X reg ford focus... the problem i have is the driver door.. when i press the fob to put the central locking on it just clicks on and off so cannot lock any doors unless i do them from inside and the driver door won,t lock at all..not even with the key ... any help with this would be appreciated..

Ok... thanx for the reply... i have since discovered that inside the door i have 2 metal rods both running up to the door lock... one is still attached and the other is loose... seems there is a black plastic thing that connects onto the door barrel inside which has snapped...

might be worth having a look at your wiring loom between your door and pillar,sometimes get breaks in wires due to door constantly opening/closing
