Mend Dishwasher Cycle Time Cleaning

The machine exceeds the prescribed cyle time?

The machine exceeds the prescribed cycle time on all cycles (apart from the quick wash). In the case of the 65 degree cycle the machine takes an hour longer than it should.

We have been told to clean the side chamber. How do we do this please?
