How can i fix my Ideal response 80 boiler?

Hi

I was hoping someone could help me please. My combi boiler has stopped working today. The lights are on but it does not make any noises or heat water / central heating. Moving the thermostat dial has no effect, it used to 'click'.

We have had problems with the pressure as it has fallen very low, around 0 - 0.5 but the boiler has still worked when it was like this and when it was on the pressure did rise. I wondered if it is the system pressure switch as i have seen this mentioned for these types of problems? There appears to be some water droplets in the circutory part of the system which is quite worrying! How would I change the switch? I want to try and avoid expensive plumbing bills as have only recently moved into our house!

None of the lights on the PCBs on my Ideal 80 response boiler are lit up. I am not getting any hot water. Have I blown a fuse to the fan?

Just bought new pressure switches for an ideal response 80 boiler believes this is the problem. This being my first encounter with this type of boiler. Low-pressure neon burning constantly even tough the pressure gauge indicates 1.5 bar - 1.6 bar. Will find out tomorrow if it will get the boiler firing. A handy guide on how to replace the pressure switch is also included with the pressure switch. You need to have some know how to do the job. Disconnecting the electrical supply, releasing the pressure out the system before commencing the work etcetera, are only some of the things you have to do to get it done. It is a step by step guide so it will even help a novice but you should have some back ground in plumbing if some thing does go wrong. Good luck!

The pressure for you boiler to operate must be above 0.6 bar. There will be a braided filling loop somewhere under your boiler, or in a nearby cupboard. There will be either one or two taps, or a small screwdriver slot on the connections. Opening these will refil your system. Make sure you dont overfill it.
The water pressure switch on Responses is prone to failure. First sign of this will be blowing of the main fuse.
