fisher and paykel smart drive 608 not working?

Lid switch is on right hand side of top deck. Lift the lid and look on right hand side under the edge of lid and you will see a piece that bulges out. Inside that bulge is a magnet which lines up with the lid reed switch and activates the switch when you close the lid. To access the lid reed switch you raise the top deck by removing the two screws at the front under the lid buffers. Switch has two wires usually red & black which go along right hand edge and up in to the console to plug in to the control board.
