How do I dismantle a Russell Hobbs 13983 Steam Iron?

How do I remove the hot plate of a 13983 Russell Hobbs Steam Iron. Some screws have come away and I need to dismantle it to put it back together. All is well until I get to the toe end of the iron. How do I get to the screw that holds the toe end in?
