My 1993 Opel Kadett 1300 dies after starting ?

pos fluding,, start it let it do its thing then remove a spark plug if its wet and black your eather floding from exessive fuel,or loosing spark,stick that plug into the ht lead rest the threded end of plug on engin so as it rests on bolt head clean one,,crank away on key,does it spark,,if yes i suspect you got carb trouble jamed float pos,,

will it keep running with key in start position ?and does it stop as soon as you release key?
