after replacing a mains lead and suppressor on my indesit wia101 uk after it had burnt out the old one , it sstill doesnt work just flashes the red door lock light constantly

when i put the new cable on ,in the off position there is no lights, as soon as i turn the selector all lights flash then the red door lock light on its own , thats on any setting, flashes non stop until i turn the switch back to 0 position ,
