Mend Power Type Supply

can a power recliner be converted to a manual type?

I have a power recliner that has lost its power supply cord. I have had no success in finding a replacement cord. Next best option is to convert to a manual. Is this possible. If I just remove the motor and lift mechanism would that work??

I have a recliner sofa which has control on both side, one of which has lost control of reclining at opening, I have removed the screws that controls the movement at the under side of the sofa and it work as a manual. so is worth a try.
