My Brother 1550 Fax MAchine is only printing 1/2 of a page?

My Brother 1550 Fax MAchine is only printing 1/2 of a page. The Ink is not out. Do you have any ideas.

Brother with 1/2 prints. Call World OF Fax 845-624-2332 they have a lever kit that fixs this , easy to do , they helped us on the phone these were in stock , we purchased from them and fixed it ourselves . found them at www.worldoffax.com thanks , happy fixing , we love this machine

I have the same problem with my Brother 1550. I contacted Brother and they gave me this phone number for parts:

800-284-4357. (voice menu Option 1, then Option 2)

I called and they have the parts in stock. Each blue latch part is under $3 and shipping is a flat $5.75.

One of the latches that hold down the rollers after the cartridge is inserted may be broken. I have a similar problem with my fax machine(brother intellifax 1440) and the left blue latch has a crack in it! I'm trying to find a replacement part but came across your question!
