Error on newly installed Baumatic Induction Hob?

Hi Just had a baumatic induction hob installed, but when I switch on at mains, the thing just keeps beeping at me (about every 2 seconds) and all indicators show '8'. This isn't what the manual says it should do and there's no explanation for this in the manual. I've tried touching the power button and the zone buttons on the hob to see if that works, but no change - still beeping every 2 seconds HELP!!!!
