how to fix fridgefreezer Hotpoint Mistral Plus Frost Free?

Motor or compressor began to run v v noisy, previous day had run with occasional low clacky noise. For the couple of weeks prior, the temp display was flashing its thermometer ref the freezer, but contents appeared still frozen. After 30mins v noisy running I switched off, felt the surface on the top panel RHS seemed pretty hot, got the rear lower panel off, checked fan spin freely ok, compressor felt hot but about the same as long ago, found a bit of pipe maybe touching the compressor so moved it. Then left off the back panel, moved unit back but with a space at rear, switched on, put on fastfreeze=now1hr+ after the noise problem. Motor now come on and running at normal quietness, albeit fridge temp gone up to +9 which I figure may drop after a bit of fastfreeze time. So whats been going on? Is the temp panel misbehaving with just a glitch, with the bad noise from a bit of metal vibrating against the compressor a bit of coincidence? (cant have even partially seized cos sounds lovely right now). Or are the temp panel warning and readings, heat on the top RHS, and the noise related to one major problem?

I have just noticed a noise from the fan at the bottom rear right hand side of my "hotpoint mistral fridge frezer " model noFF93N when I looked the actual fan blade has come off and was split but mendable. Why it came off I do not Know. But has anyone out there got a Diagram or link to showing how the blade is mounted on the fan shaft and how it is secured and also how the actual fan is mounted and what you need to do to take it out. From what I can see a New Fan will cost me £75 which I really can't afford. Any Help would be Most Welcome. The freezer and fridge are holding temperature even though there is no fan blade on the fan motor which is comeing in when asked for. Roge

hi,check the motor mountings its possible that the securing pins have vibrated loose.ensure that the rubbers are all present .give them a twist to make sure none are split.also check the security of the evap tray ontop of the motor.the pipe you afore mentioned sounds like the drain pipe and should be pushed onto a locator on the evap tray.the heat on the top rhs is where the system enters the compartment and you will find if you investigate further it is the same temp as the heater which is concealed on your model.make sure you secure the drain pipe onto the tray, you don't want any water getting into the evap timer, its electronic on your model and any water penetration can result in your fridge/freezer giving temp problems and can also damage the timer and short out the pcb
