Mend Candy CDS120 X-80 Dishwasher Years Properly

How can I fix my Candy Dishwasher CDS120 X-80 1601?

This Dishwasher is about 4 years old. The programme selector is not working properly. When the on/off button is pressed the indicator light comes on and the machine starts pulsing even when the selector knob is in the reset position. I am unable to get any programme to start.
