unleaded in my diesel tank - help?

difficult if you don`t have a ramp,but follow the two pipes up to the top of the tank with your left hand,o/s front corner,you will feel the two connections onto the tank unit,flow and return,it is the red connection you want to get off which I think is the one nearest the o/s,press the two lugs in and the pipe should pull off(they can be tight)if you get it off you can attach a length of 5/16 rubber hose to the pipe and syphon off the contaminated fuel,as a previous post has said you may get away with it if you can get plenty of neat diesel into the tank,good luck

hi, the tank on your escort holds 55-60 litres,which you have added 10 litres of petrol. how much diesel was in the tank before you added the incorrect fuel? if you can get 25 litres or more into the tank now you will be ok.diesel of course .many diesel owners add a little unleaded to their diesel its good for the system.filling up with diesel may not be an option of choice,and you may have to drain the tank.syphoning isn't a option as tanks these days are fitted with a anti syphoning device in the tanks filler pipe .to drain you may have to drop the tank or pump the tank.

Some engines have a manual bleed pump fitted, in the fuel line engine end, look round, you will need to disconnect the pipe out, and pump it all out by hand, or follow it back, you may be lucky and find a connection that you can undo to drain it out, do not run the engine, they only go bang once.
