reverse switch on 00 ford focus?

iam assuming the car has a manual gearbox fitted .the reversing switch is mounted on top of the gearbox ,it has two blk wires connected to it ,all you will need is a 22mm ring spanner.you may have to remove the battery and air box for easier access.if you want to check if the switch is faulty,remove the wiring conector from the switch and bridge the two terminals in the wired connector,switch ignition on and check for reversing lights.
