grundig gu26blk2 tv no picture?

The tv was in use the other night when without warning the picture went blank. I turned the set off and back on but still the same. The menu is working as I have memorised it and am able to alter input modes and the sound is working correctly. Could it be the inverter board ? The model number is vit70063.50 ver 3 which I believe is used in other brands. I am not an electronics whizz but would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
