Mend Grundig MW 82-2700 DPL/FT Faulty Tv Switch

faulty grundig tv MW 82-2700 DPL/FT?

I have a faulty grundig MW 82-2700 DPL/FT (CUC 2058) tv. When I first switch it on the picture starts to judder then the picture and sound both go off. Pressing the AV switch brings them back on again. This can last up to 5 minutes, then the tv is fine. I would appretiate any help.

many grundigs with unstable pics suffer from bad solder joints especially near the vertical IC.- also try changing the capacitors in the power supply secondary outputs.
