Mend Iveco 59/12 Just Cut Out Run

iveco 59 /12 1998 just cut out wont run?

i have a iveco 59/12 recovery wagon and its just cut out will not start again it wont even fire on sniff, ive checked the fuel ,and seloniod in the pump all is fine there ,timming is spot on electrics seem ok as anyone cone across a problem like this before what are the syptoms of the pump going ? thanks nigel

Take any fuel filter off , put some clean cloth over a jug & empty filter contents through the cloth into the jug.
If there is any metal particles showing in the cloth , then yes your pump has gone ! Get the injectors checked before fitting new pump.

might want to try and bleed the whole fuel system failing that then suspect mechanical failure of the pump .do a pressure test on the system .
