Mend Mountfield 1436M Lawn Engine Starter Motor

mountford 1436m wont start?

When I try to start my sit on mountford mower (1436M) the engine wont start and there is a high pitched noise when i turn the key.Th e battery is charged, do I need to buy a new starter motor . The mower is only two and a half years old .

make sure the battery is fully charged /put battery on charge for 4/5 hours.if the problem still persists then it sounds like the solenoid on the starter motor which has failed .you could also check wiring to solenoid for security before replacing starter.
