Honda Izy Auto Choke Engine Surge?

After several minutes of smooth running my Honda Izy appears to hunt for fuel with the engine going into a rhythmic sound. I have cleaned the carburetor, but it still does it. The lawnmower is only 2 years old. Any ideas on how to solve the problem?
