Last night the boiler made strange noise and water started pouring out of it all around the bottom. My husband found that the stop tap at the top had failed and water was pouring from it. He replaced the tap and stopped the leak. However water had poured through everything fusing the socket. Put new fuse in and dried it out using a hairdryer. When switching it on the ignitor went and the pilot fired but then kept cutting out and the process would repeat itself volutarily. We left it overnight and this morning the ignitor is clicking when we switch it on but there is no pilot light lighting. What can I do?
Just a quick update. Put all back together and the ignitor goes and the boiler fires up and then switches off again and repeats the cycle untill we turn the power off. Just will not stay lit???? Any clues gratefully recieved :)
