my vauxhall combo van is overheating?

my 1.7tdi combo van is overheating it is 02 plate coolant is coming out of the expansion tank sorry for being a bit vague earlier

hi kenny forgot to mention if you do find traces of oil in coolent check oil cooler and hose mountings ..these coolers do fail ,oil leakes in to system and vents out of expansion tank.

ok two types of engines fitted to these astras .igm and izuzu ,both with similar cooling systems .replace thermostat ,may be closed.before suspecting head gasket drain system inspect top and bottom hoses ,ensure cooling fan is operating .refill system with heater vented and on full blast ,engine running, check for signs of oil in coolent if there is then its head gasket failure. hope this helps good luck.
