Engine management light on red?

I was driving my golf match 1.6 and I stalled so as i was still moving I just bump started the car but as soon as i did this the engine light came on and the display said low oil pressure, I checked the level and it is fine. The engine sounds the same is it safe to drive to the garage so they can check it or do you think I have damaged the cat or the lambda sensor or something elseMark

your oil level can be fine ,but if the oil pump doesn't work you won't have pressure ..

i imagine by bump starting the car you have upset the ecu ,try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins or it's a trip to the dealer to clear the fault

I personally wouldn't drive it if the oil pressure stays low with the engine running. You could have a blockage.

How long is it since the oil and filter were last renewed?

(And when did a Golf Match 1.6 become a lorry? - LOL)
