Mend Bristan Replaced Seal Water

Replaced seal now no water?

I have replaced the rubber seals on my old Bristan brass cartidge because it began leaking last week and I placed new seals on it. Now I cannot get any water to come out of the shower. Could it have siezed up when I de- scaled it ?
