Mend Brandt BFT920W Fridge Cooling Faulty

Faulty Brandt Fridge/Freezer (P.S.)?

The 'puddle' referred to was caused by my wife placing a bag of purchased ice cubes (for her Gin and Tonic), in the Freezer.
We have the usual operating noise and lights, no build up of ice but neither Fridge nor Freezer are getting cold.

Check thermo stat is switching, if manual type, you should be able to hear it, electronic varies. If thermo stat ok, Is compressor running, you say normal noises, so I assume so, you may have a damaged evaporator or condensor, as it sounds as if no refrigerant, it does not just go, it would of leaked from somewhere.
