Mend Caroma Water Shut Supply

water does not shut off completly, float sits to low?

When the toilet is flushed the water supply does not shut off completly, when I lift up on the float arm it shuts off. Can the float be adjusted to sit a little higher? The toilet is a Caroma and I"m assuming it was installed when the house was built 17 years ago
