How can I fix my Rio Carbon?

I uploaded some music onto my Rio Carbon player from a CD and used the internet (gracenote) a caption came up do you want to upgrade your rio carbon player (free) I clicked yes - but since then whenever I attempt to turn my Rio Carbon Player on it just sais on the screen - Upgrading & does not switch on. How can I fix this ?
