how do I fix the crank on my patio umbrella?

The problem I have is the crank on my patio umbrella cranks up fine the robe inside is not broken. but the once the crank is has fully cranked the umbrella up it springs back words rewinding and the umbrella comes back down! My question is how do I fix this problem. My umbrella is custom casual
