tricity bendix BK111 anti flood activated pump running continously?

when the wash nears the end the drain pump runs continously and the programme never ends?

So does this mean that it could be a faulty flood sensor?
If I pour water in the machine it empties correctly...

blockage somewhere and water over flowed in to the base

Yes it starts on the rinse cycle. Just to give you a bit more info we have just come back from 3 week holiday and dishwasher has not been used until returning.
